The Certified Pre-Owned MINI Inspection Checklist

The Inspection Checklist
There are seven sections to the CPO Inspection checklist:
- Vehicle Background and Maintenance. Here, we assign the MINI to a service writer who looks over the vehicle's ownership and maintenance history. We take note of important events like oil changes and brake services.
- Wheel Assembly. One of our certified technicians begins the inspection of the vehicle, starting with the wheels and tires. Brand, size, pressure, and tread depth levels are all noted.
- Body Condition, Fit and Finish. We thoroughly examine the vehicle's exterior and ensure that everything is still as rock-solid as the day the car rolled out of the factory!
- Mechanical. Exactly what it sounds like – we conduct a thorough mechanical inspection, replacing fluids and parts as necessary.
- Stationary Review. We power the vehicle on and ensure that pieces of the vehicle, like driver controls, navigation systems, and convertible tops, are all working properly.
- Rolling Review. Our technician drives the vehicle for at least 20 uninterrupted minutes and takes notes regarding the engine operation, transmission shifting characteristics, handling, and more.
- Approval. Finally, we require signatures from our technician, service manager, MINI CPO Manager, and you! We do this to ensure we don't miss anything.
