Engine oil flush
This is obviously the most basic fluid flush of all. Over time, microscopic particles of dust, dirt and grime can find their way into your Mini motor oil. With a regular oil change, we flush out the old oil and put fresh new motor oil into your Mini. Our valued customers in Carson and Redondo Beach CA should get a Mini oil change every 7,500 to 10,000 miles.
Transmission flush
At South Bay Mini, we recommend that you have us flush your transmission fluid every 30,000 to 35,000 miles and ask us to change the transmission filter at the same time. Your transmission fluid is actually an oil and it can break down after a while just like any other oil. Many people overlook the need for a regular transmission flush but it's actually an important part of your regular maintenance.
We can flush out the old, contaminated transmission fluid and fill your transmission with fresh new lubrication. Because your transmission is expensive to replace, it's well worth the modest investment you'll pay for a transmission fluid flush and it's far cheaper than doing a full transmission repair.
Engine coolant or anti-freeze flush
Once again, we recommend getting your coolant, or antifreeze flushed every 30,000 to 35,000 miles. That will give us a chance to check the quality of your engine coolant and find any signs of trouble while it's early enough to avoid damaging your engine. By cleansing the anti-freeze in your system, you keep the system clear of unwanted debris which helps protect the components of your cooling system like hoses and coolant lines.
Power steering flush
The power steering system in your Mini Cooper gets exposed to heat from the engine bay that can break down the consistency of the fluid. That can slowly damage and erode the steering gear seals as well as the pump or hoses and that can eventually lead to power steering failure. That's why we recommend a power steering fluid flush every 50,000 to 75,000 miles and have us check your fluid every 30,000 to 35,000 miles.
Brake fluid flush
Few components are as important to the safety of you and your family as you're braking system. Your brake fluid is what allows you to stop your vehicle in the first place. We generally recommend getting a brake fluid flush every two years or 30,000 miles, but your intervals can vary on your driving patterns. For example, if you drive shorter routes in the city with a lot of frequent braking, you might need a brake fluid flush more often.
Fuel-injection flush
Getting good gas mileage is more important today than ever and a fuel system cleaning can help your vehicle achieve optimum gas mileage. That's why we recommend a fuel system flush every 30,000 to 35,000 miles.
