Efficient Power & Performance

When it comes to power, efficiency and thrilling performance the MINI Country has it all. The FIAT 500L only has one powertrain option while the Countryman has four; including a hybrid model. Powering the FIAT 500L is a 1.4L turbo four-cylinder engine that produces 160 horsepower and is paired with a six-speed automatic engine. The base engine for the Countryman is a spirited 1.5L three-cylinder turbocharged engine that puts out 134 horsepower. The other two powertrain options that the Countryman has to offer Long Beach drivers are a 189 horsepower 2.0L four-cylinder turbocharged and a 2.0L TwinPower turbocharged four-cylinder with 228 horsepower.

The Country hybrid combines the 1.5L three-cylinder engine with an electric motor for a thrilling and efficient driving experience with 221 horsepower. No matter what engine you choose, with the exception of the hybrid, you have the option for either a six-speed manual, eight-speed automatic transmission or an eight-speed Sport automatic with shifter paddles. The hybrid MINI Countryman is only available with the six-speed automatic transmission.

Advanced Safety Features

Like many Los Angeles drivers safety is a top priority and with more distractions grabbing at our attention advanced safety features are very important to our customers. This is another where the MINI Countryman outperforms the FIAT 500L. The only safety features that the FIAT 500L has to offer are Rain-Sensing Wipers and Automatic headlights. But it is only standard on the top level trim. The MINI Countryman, however, is equipped with standard Rain-Sensing Wipers. Another safety feature that is standard on the MINI Countryman and only available on select trims on the FIAT 500L is Rearview Camera and Rear Park Distance Control. The MINI Country also features Dynamic Stability Control, Adaptive Cruise Control, and is available with Head-up Display. Which projects important information like speed limit and navigation onto the windshield so you can keep your eyes on the road.

In addition to an array of advanced safety features the MINI Countryman is built with safety in its bones. Built with an ultra-rigid body and extremely strong frame that features multiphase fortified steel to protect passengers. The MINI Countryman also features two front, side-impact, and ceiling mounted side curtain airbags to fully protect occupants. In the event of a head-on collision, the engine is designed to breakaway from its mounts to absorb more crash impact and redirect energy away from the cabin and its occupants.

Standard & Available Features

The last area that the MINI Countryman outshines the FIAT 500L is with standard features. As we already mentioned the MINI Countryman is equipped with a number of advanced safety, Rear Park Distance Control, Rain-Sensing Wipers, and Rearview Camera. The Countryman also comes with standard heated side mirrors, panoramic sunroof, 40/20/40 split folding rear seats, Comfort Access, and MINI Connected 6.5 Display. Comfort Access is a transceiver in the key fob that allows you to leave the key in your pocket and open the doors with the push of a button located on the door handle. The MINI Connected feature puts an array of innovative technology at your fingertips and keeps your favorite tunes playing no matter what with Pandora, Spotify, TuneIn, and Bluetooth Wireless Streaming. Other available features the Countryman has to offer include LED headlights with Cornering technology and Navigation with Real-Time Traffic. The FIAT 500L also features Bluetooth audio streaming but other audio apps are available for an additional cost.
