Efficient Power & Performance
When it comes to power, efficiency and thrilling performance the MINI Country has it all. The FIAT 500L only has one powertrain option while the Countryman has four; including a hybrid model. Powering the FIAT 500L is a 1.4L turbo four-cylinder engine that produces 160 horsepower and is paired with a six-speed automatic engine. The base engine for the Countryman is a spirited 1.5L three-cylinder turbocharged engine that puts out 134 horsepower. The other two powertrain options that the Countryman has to offer Long Beach drivers are a 189 horsepower 2.0L four-cylinder turbocharged and a 2.0L TwinPower turbocharged four-cylinder with 228 horsepower.
The Country hybrid combines the 1.5L three-cylinder engine with an electric motor for a thrilling and efficient driving experience with 221 horsepower. No matter what engine you choose, with the exception of the hybrid, you have the option for either a six-speed manual, eight-speed automatic transmission or an eight-speed Sport automatic with shifter paddles. The hybrid MINI Countryman is only available with the six-speed automatic transmission.
